“ I was part of a group of 8 people. We had lots of room to gather on the patio, as for most of the time we were the only ones out there. The service was par excellence and we were all delighted with our meals. I had the Salad Special. WOW, that was a great meal - every part of it was fresh and delicious, and it was arranged to look as well as it tasted, too. I was also happy that I was able to give an added make-up tip to the other waitress, as the last time I was there I was mortified that my friend, who had covered the whole bill, was upset with that waitress over small issues and had given no tip at all, which I *never* do - and at that time, I was both unable to top up the tip and too embarrassed to apologize. Anyway, now that I've repaid that "debt", I feel quite happy to show my face at the Upper Crust once again. And I hope it will be many more times - the service and food here is exemplary! ”
“ I used to go to Upper Crust a lot for lunch when I worked in the university area as their sandwiches are wonderful, but with a job change, it had been a few years since my last visit. My husband and I found an old gift card and went for supper. It's still a very pleasant restaurant. The food is delicious - the pre-meal buns are chewy (and that's fantastic in my books!). The cup of soup was generous and tasty. The entrees aren't huge, but they are the right size to feel pleasantly full. I had the cup of soup, special salmon entree and dessert and I was very full! My dessert choice was the chocolate chunk cheesecake, which was heavenly; my husband enjoyed his poppyseed cake as well. The server was very friendly and attentive. Having just been to a similarly priced chain restaurant a few days prior that had smaller portions and poorer quality, we found Upper Crust to be an excellent value. We will certainly not wait so long for our next meal at Upper Crust. ”
“ We were at our friend’s place for a party and it was catering by Upper crust. The food were amazing and lots of compliments. We hosted a birthday party and we decided to try upper crust too. From ordering, pick up, and the food, everything was amazing. We did the dinner buffet style. We had the beef tenderloins and gray, lemon chicken and herbs, Caesar salad, vegetables, rice, and the best coconut cake. The food was delicious. We hosted parties very often and we would definitely come back. ”
“ Went for a lunch with friends. Seated right away and quick service. I had the lasagna with a Cesar salad, my wife the special turkey Panini with Beef Barley soup. Both came out hot and well prepared. My wife said the soup was great and sandwich was tasty and filling. She did get a bone in the sandwich but wasn't a big deal. Overall a great lunch and a nice visit with friends. No rush to leave. Definitely will be back. ”
“ Yesterday was my first experience at Upper Crust and it is going to be one of many visits. The staff is remarkable, The Chef is exceptional, the ambiance manages to be both pristine and personal. The existence of the take home "deli" which far exceeds the name it carries and the delicious baked goods make this the single best restaurant I have been to since coming to Edmonton. “ A great place for lunch (I have yet to go there for diner). Has a comfortable, clean, classic atmosphere in a refurbished older building. On my latest (2nd) visit I had the rainbow trout which was done perfectly. Prices are reasonable, staff are professional, attentive, but not intrusive. Will definitely go again ”
